RETAIL HEALTH CLINICS
Recent projects include:
- Hospital Retail Clinic Strategy: Created a retail clinic strategy for a community hospital; conducted consumer research, modeled financials and worked with senior staff to determine impact on the healthcare system, including PCP practices. Conducted market research to determine optimal locations, menu of services, employer targets and communications for a new retail clinic.
- Retail Dental Concept Development: Created a new retail concept of in-store preventative dental clinics. Published a whitepaper along with a financial model to test payer and service mix. - Retail Clinic Opportunities for PharmaCo: Worked with the clinic operator and pharmaco to create novel chronic care and wellness programs that leverage the features and unique abilities of nps and the retail clinic channel. Created a platform of learnings to apply across several categories for this new channel.
- Retail Channel for Medical Device Co: Conducted an analysis of retail channels; developed a partnership with a retailer and implemented a pilot program to open new markets.
- Assessed the retail clinic opportunity for a Fortune 50 Grocer – forecasting impact on total customer visits, Rx, basket size, margins, and brand/reputation with consumers.
- Evaluated the impact of establishing retail clinics for a large hospital – including the economic and operational impact on their ED, their physician group and their marketing program; worked with the CEO and the Board to co-create the right solution for their patients and community.
- Worked with a large retailer to create a new category of health gift (stored value) cards; created concepts, conducted market research, identified customer segments and messaging.
- Evaluated the distribution opportunity of using retail clinics for a consumer-driven medical device manufacturer.
- Created a three year health benefit transition program for a Fortune 100 employer including HDHPs, FSA/HRAs, and onsite clinics to engage employees in health programs.
- Advised the FTC on retail clinic regulatory issues; provided a presentation on the industry, regulations, on the expanding retail clinic care industry.
